THE ALLIANCE CASTLE

Marcus' designs for the Alliance Castle

This is Braveheart's original design for the Alliance castle. It features six towers for the member clans as well as a seventh tower for the Alliance council to meet in.

This is a fairly small castle. Inexpensive yet effective, this castle was specifically designed to fit the requirements of the Alliance.

It features simple square towers, very tall walls, and a portucllis gate.

Note: figure for scale next to the gate.

This is a revision my own original design as an option for the Alliance castle. It features six towers for the member clans and a three story keep for the Alliance council to meet in.

This is a smallish castle. Relatively inexpensive and utilitarian. This castle would be more effective as a wartime structure thanks to it's sturdy design.

The walls are thick and tall, and feature angled bases. The towers are large and round with plenty of internal space.

Note: figure for scale next to the gate.

This is an enlarged design for the Alliance castle. It features six towers for the member clans and an bigger three story keep for the Alliance council to meet in.

This is a mid sized castle. More expensive to build, but also much more effective in wartime.

The facilities available to the Alliance members as well as the general Exile population are more extensive.

The walls are the same basic design as in the smaller castle but are longer. The towers are taller and have more space near ground level. The keep has a larger lower floor, a three story rear extension and a tall beacon or watchtower. There is now enough room in the enlarged gatehouse for a proper portcullis as well as archery slits.

My initial castle design as it would have looked in the East Forest - see Architecture.
